A Substrate Level Balance Identity as a Unified Framework for Physics: A Structural Approach to Unification in Physics

What if the apparent complexity of modern physics arises from a single, simple structural requirement?This book presents a book-length, mathematically explicit proposal for unifying major physical frameworks—general relativity, gauge theory, quantum dynamics, thermodynamics, and information—within a single geometric language derived from a global balance condition.Rather than treating particles, fields, or Hilbert spaces as fundamental, the framework begins with paired imbalance degrees of freedom constrained by a universal identity that a property and its opposite must equal zero.From this balance condition, linearity, connection structure, and curvature emerge naturally. Appropriate projections of the resulting unified curvature recover the standard mathematical forms of Einstein’s field equations, Yang–Mills dynamics, and Schrödinger and Dirac evolution, while also accommodating entropy, holographic relations, and information-theoretic structure.The construction is fully explicit. No new particles, forces, or physical constants are introduced. Instead, familiar physical laws are reformulated within a common structural framework, revealing them as different manifestations of the same underlying geometric constraint.This work is written with two audiences in mind.
